Dylan Falco joins FC Schalke 04 Esports as head coach
Dylan Falco has joined FC Schalke 04 Esports as their head coach for the 2019 season. The signing marks their first acquisition of the offseason.
The team teased the signing on Twitter after following Dylan Falco’s account. The head coach’s arrival sets a solid foundation for Schalke 04’s coaching staff as the team aspires to compete in 2019. It also allows them to recover from the departure of André “Guilhoto” Guilhoto, who is headed to Origen. Dylan Falco’s collaborative approach to coaching helped Fnatic reach the 2018 World Championship Finals. In addition, the coach also helped Immortals contend for the North American LCS crown in 2016.
On top of that, the coach was a member of a Worlds attending squad four times overall. He also reached the Top 3 as a head coach five times (eight times as a member of a coaching staff), and he has won the LCS four times (twice as a head coach). He experienced international success as a head coach on Fnatic as he reached the Worlds playoffs twice in a row.
Schalke 04 are currently rebuilding its roster around Elias “Upset” Lipp. The team has already conceded two players in free agency: Erlend “Nukeduck” Holm to Origen and Tamas “Vizicsacsi” Kiss. According to ESPN Esports, Splyce may have hired Vizicsacsi in the top lane. The whereabouts of Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider and Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan are unknown at this time.
