Humanoid joins Splyce in the LEC for 2019
Splyce have announced on Twitter that they have signed Marek “Humanoid” Brázda for the 2019 LEC season. In the process, the team set the tone for an interesting hiring spree.
Humanoid’s arrival has remarkably slipped through the radar, as it went unreported, with no clues leading to it. The mid laner has big shoes to fill as his predecessor, Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer, brought solid performance and improved team chemistry in the lineup.
At least, Humanoid brings experience to the lineup, as he has played in the Turkish Champions League for two months (on Dark Passage). Before that, he helped eSuba dominate the Czech and Slovakian circuits for an entire year. Later on, he briefly played on the since disbanded Millenium, then reached the semifinals of the TCL. Furthermore, he transitioned into the Polish circuit and consistently ranked in the Top 2 (if not at the top).
Humanoid’s arrival brings another rookie mid laner to the LEC: Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek are also in the running for the Rookie of the Split title. Yet, his arrival is the most intriguing one, considering the competition at the position, and as Splyce shape their lineup and replace Nisqy.
