Jeskla joins exceL Esports for 2019 LEC season

Jesper “Jeskla” Klarin Strömberg has joined exceL Esports for the 2019 LEC season, the team announced on Twitter. The player’s arrival brings a highly skilled bot laner in the league.

The organization signs a player with serious hypercarry potential. In fact, Jesklaa plays in a way most similar with four-time LCS champion Martin “Rekkles” Larsson. Even the picks have similarities: Tristana, Ezreal and Jhin are part of Jeskla’s arsenal. However, the newcomer to the LEC has shown willingness to try picks Rekkles would frown upon (such as Caitlyn) or embrace earlier than his LCS counterpart (Kai’Sa).

Before joining exceL, Jeskla made an impact in two European Regional leagues. In 2017, he placed second in the German ESL Meisterschaft summer split. Then, he moved to Movistar Riders in Spain and placed second twice in the SuperLiga Orange (Season 13 and Spring). Despite the team’s irregularity, he remained consistent in his performances, so much that MRS were considered favorites before setbacks occurred during the playoffs (as was the case during the summer).

In signing the player, exceL solidify an impressive bot lane. Indeed, Raymond “Kasing” Tsang has joined the organization, and he may heavily facilitate Jeskla’s entry into the LEC. The situation presents an interesting role reversal for Kasing, who once was the inexperienced support leaning on his bot lane partner for decision-making.
