Team Vitality’s Academy roster revealed, to compete in France in 2019

Riot Games have revealed Team Vitality’s Academy lineup through the Global Contract Database on Jan. 8. According to that information, the organization rebuilt its lineup around Damien “Shemek” Soulagnet. In all likeliness, the lineup will compete in La Ligue Française, the French regional league.

Team Vitality Academy’s roster has completely rebuilt its squad ahead of the LFL’s start, with several big names leaving the squad. Indeed, gone are Han “Dreams” Min-kook (SK Gaming), Prodromos “Pretty” Kevezitidis, Dániel “bluerzor” Subicz. As for Florent “Yuuki60” Soler, his whereabouts are unknown.

Vitality’s previous Academy lineup contended for the top spot in the French circuit alongside GamersOrigin, LDLC and Gentside (where Saken played). In the end, they managed to win the Open Tour finals, a gauntlet-type tournament gathering the 10 best French teams. There, they also faced TraYtoN and Skeanz’ former team, the popular Solary.

The new lineup has potential, especially considering the prowess Shemek and the new hires displayed throughout 2018. Should the French regional league have strict import rules (such as a minimum of three French players per lineup), they could be considered as frontrunners there. However, should Misfits Academy also compete in the region, they will have some serious competition for the top spot. Of course, that would be pending roster moves from Gentside, LDLC and GamersOrigin.
