Victory Five announce LPL roster for the 2019 season

Victory Five announce LPL roster for the 2019 season

The new franchise in the LPL, Victory Five, has finally unveiled its League of Legends lineup for the 2019 LPL season. The team announced the lineup via Weibo.

The lineup unites a number of LPL players in new colors. V5’s players have ample amounts of experience, and four of them have experienced the LPL playoffs: Corn, Road, Ley and Ben4. However, Ben4 has been out of the LPL for the 2018 season, making his return an interesting one to follow.

To that effect, V5 have signed Pepper, who has lacked playing time on Team WE. Indeed, despite showing promise on FunPlus Phoenix, the player’s transfer coincided with Xiang “Condi” Ren-Jie’s return. With WE focusing on another player’s growth instead, he opted to play on the Macao-based franchise.

The organization also signed Corn, whose playing time prospects looked grim after Topsports Gaming signed mid lane prodigy Zhuo “Knight” Ding. With Corn in tow, Topsports qualified to the LPL playoffs for the first time in their history. However, they also left the event after losing the fastest game since 2013 to Royal Never Give Up: 15 minutes and 34 seconds.

Victory Five completed their roster with two supports: Ley (who has competed in the LSPL and LDL since 2015) and BiliBili Gaming’s Road. On top of providing solid experience to his new team, Road’s signing allows his former team to field their recent hires at the same time.

To wrap up the lineup, V5 added Jinoo and y4 from LGD Gaming following their replacement by imports on their former team. The two players helped LGD get within playoff contention in the 2018 LPL summer split, adding much promise to their new team.
